prickly thorns of pain

winding paths of uncertainty
songbirds singing sweetly
tornados of tragedy
fresh scent of lilacs in spring
the first freeze of the season
beauty of trees in autumn
the wicked cold of growing old
quietude of twinkling stars
frustration of severe flooding
serenity and peace with acceptance
life is always uncertain
an array of opportunities
lead to endless possibilities
