Pandora's Box has cracked its locks
A little more with each retort,
And I admit, with wicked wit,
To roguery, my sordid sport.
The honesty you glean from me
May shock, disgruntle, or disgust,
But realize, through widened eyes,
The impetus behind my thrust.
Your whine bewails the dearth of males
Who fit the tenets of your plan,
But you deride the tender side
To angle for a harder man.
The term "too nice" suggests a vice
In men devoid of rakish traits,
So I inspect your intellect
To craft the rogue your need creates.
Our tryst unlocks your paradox
Of damning who the body craves,
For naughty boys are pleasing toys
Until you deign to make us slaves.
You hoped your sin would claim and win
A spouse to call your very own,
But in this game you take the blame
For doing what you don't condone.
This rogue, you'll find, is just the kind
Who takes too much and steals the change,
So when you call, I'm on the ball,
And well beyond your cell phone range.
I only serve what you deserve;
A slab o' crow, a side o' hurt,
For what you asked has been unmasked,
So swallow this unjust dessert.
Mistakes beget the deep regret
Of falling to my dulcet tone;
You took my bait and cleaned your plate,
But morning breaks with you alone.
The ills within Pandora's bin
Should smite me for disgracing you,
But don't depend upon my end,
For I seduced Pandora, too.
