We both snoodle up and nuzzle,
Finding it's a well known fact:
Pieces fit in nature's puzzle,
When two opposites attract.
Canine and feline hearts are bound,
Though at times you knead my fur,
I'm happiest when you're around,
Making our affection purr.
A stranger to the doggie park,
There's frisbees you'll never catch,
But you're purrfection in the dark,
Where night prowlers are no match.
I'm always there to lend a paw,
Should you ever spit and hiss,
When pussy toes extend the claws,
Of my purrsnickity miss.
So even though you ride my back,
In tabby and poochy play,
I've grown fond of a sneak attack,
And your hijinks of the day.
Will the surprises never end?
As I hear a gruff meow,
The laws of nature bend again,
Good Grrrief... Look who's barking now!
