I Wonder (Couplet Query) Is this statue a "Salute to a Brute", Or truly is it a sincere tribute? Author Notes I saw this statue to a famous Gorilla that lived at the Como Zoo for years. It died and a statue was made for it. His name was Don. The plaque reads, "Portrait of Don. Sculpted and donated by Betty Severt. 1982" This poem is a Couplet Query. This format was created by the author using a simple rhymed couplet format. It asks a question that leaves the answer up to the reader to decide. Couplet Query: two lines that ask a rhetorical question, since the answer is within the poem itself. Syllable count is open, used 10 for this poem. Must end rhyme. Two lines only.
