Author Notes
This didn't need an image, but everytime I turn around Fan Story has added an image on the oppening page that has nothing to do with the poem. I thought it might be confusing to the reader so I finally added an image of my own.
When I first heard of shape poems I wanted to do one, BUT I didn't like the fact they looked like a clumpy bunch of words that had little resemblence towhat they were suppose to represent. I wanted to create something prettier...so I created a different look. I call these designer poems, because you REALLY have to design them. I write the poem to completely stand on its own without the shape. I create the shape independently, then place the words in the design. It takes a bit of formating time to get things right, but I enjoy doing it. Im the past I have done a balleria, snowman, butterfly, tulup, spider web, snowflake, Christmas tree and a bubbling champagne glass.
Those of you who write in the alternative editor know how Evil Eddie ( the pet name for that editor) can wreck havoc on your work. He can be a royal pain!!!
I haven't done one of these for about a year and a half...didn't know if I still could! LOL I hope you enjoy the poem and my birds in flight.
If your wondering why I desscribed the shapes as mustaches in my poem, it because I thought the birds kind of resembled them...and that's in REAL life as well.
Thanks for stoppping by....I hope you enjoy!
