Come visit my land of dreams
A land of ancient rites
White rafting river schemes
Look up in awe; velvet nights.

Towering ghost gums, stark and white
Min-Min lights dancing at night
Jeweled seas surround her; sea birds take flight
Strange and wonderful animals; sheer delight.

Come visit my land of hot sandy places
Speak to my people with smiling black faces
This Island in repose; wild and free
Amazing land of contrast - jeweled sea.

Bring your skiis with you, snow covered runs
Watch Steve Irwin's crocodiles; no need for guns
Restaurants galore, food from all nations
Catch a train, drink in the colors; stop at all stations

Rainforest delights, colored birds, angel flights Lifesavers patrol beaches; bikini clad sights
Sheet lightning, thunder from Down Under
Come visit Australia, land of wonder.

Author Notes
Min-Min lights were first judged to be alien presences. They were worshiped by the Aboriginals - later it was found to be a series of happenings in the wide outback plains - in short, headlights from cars can travel for miles. You may have heard of Steve Irwin (the crocodile hunter) he has a huge Australian Wildlife park that is very popular with tourists. Steve was killed by the barb of a stingray. His wife is Canadian (Terry Irwin) and his children carry on his wildlife conservation. Thanks for reading.
