in the snow
Hairyfoot the
Persian cat
meets his two
friends by the
river on Christmas eve
meowing loudly
the giant ape appears
from the forest
Hairyfoot tells
his two friends
we must not
forget those
with no voice
a fox gazes
at the three
unique friends
doves coo
under a shining star
wolves calmly sit
and listen
to a soft wind
Bigfoot gathers
the fluffy cat
and miniature primate
in his arms
they feel warmth
and closeness
on this season
of hope, joy
and peace
the night they spend
together
dining on fish
and cat treats
for Hairyfoot
when the sun rises
the air feels new
warmth covers the earth
the Prince of
Peace watches
an ancient primate
a pampered feline
and Little Kong return
to their homes
where more celebrations
await
Hairyfoot purrs in
his mistress' arms
Bigfoot admires
the forest around him
Little Kong daydreams
about his past
the world may be harsh
but these three friends
meet on Christmas eve
for they know it is
a time of togetherness
the Prince of Peace smiles
