Imagine Poetry and all it can be
Drifting our minds to far away seas
Taking us places we never have gone
Being the heart to all of our songs.
For it changes our lives, the way that we feel
It takes simple words, and makes them so real
It gives us new meaning, and new ways to see
What keeps our soul strong, and makes us so free.
Can anything else hold such intensity and fire
Igniting the fuse to our deepest desires?
And give us such vision with all of its glory
To tell us life's journey, in its passionate story.
So imagine poetry, and where it began,
All it believes, to its future and end
And always accept, right from the start
That poetry forever can change the heart.
