Defog the brain and I'll see more clearly
A cup of coffee, I need it dearly.
Just a thought, but I mean it sincerely:
I do my best thinking when I'm drinking.
Attired, alert and in an office mode
I hop in the car and leave my abode
Set up those meetings, I'll shovel my load.
Shut up! eyes glazing, stamina's sinking.
At home at last, a little solitude.
Drop the shoes, lose the bra, get nearly nude,
Lying on the couch, in a lousy mood.
Honey's home and he's come in a- winking.
Hey Babe! How's about a glass of wine?
Think he's reading me, not missing a line.
Just a glass or two, there's no need to dine.
We toast to us, our glasses clinking.
Before long, I'm feeling sweet and mellow
I notice my honey's quite the fellow.
Pull down the covers, fluff up the pillow:
I do my best thinking when I'm drinking!
