Man's violent ways won't satisfy
its never ending plan.
Will ever seek destruction's course
destroying sons of men.
Now is there just one person who
will hide not in the dark?
Who walks not in man's evil ways
but light's salvation's spark.
Who walks in power and majesty
a lover of man's soul.
Who seeks to walk in grace and love
and longs to make men whole.
I've tried to change my wicked ways
but yet again I fail.
As if I'm tossed by stormy seas
to find a haven... fail.
And yet I know that I can find
the source of man's lost hope.
I look unto those mountain paths
and climb faith's hoary slope.
