An Essence poem captures the core or essence of a moment, feeling, or image in a brief, vivid way.
Required Structure
Two lines
Six syllables per line
Each line contains an internal rhyme
The lines end with a rhyme
Example
Glimmer's shimmer, day's rays,
Soft breeze, leaves tease and sway.

Internal rhymes:
In the first line: "Glimmer's" and "shimmer"
In the second line: "leaves" and "tease"
Ending rhymes:
The first line ends with "rays"
