Farewell From the Horizon by dovemarie
Sunset Poem writing prompt entry

I gaze at a winter sunset
Dazzling beauty, never to forget

Golden-white clouds drift in,
Surrounding pale pink rays
I feel a spasm of pain within
As fluorescent beams end these days

A fiery star sinks below the treeline
Moonglow meets sunlight; the two combine
Like lovers arms entwine

Writing Prompt
Write a poem about a sunset or the memories or thoughts that a sunset brings. The word sun or sunset must be in the poem. All forms of poetry welcomed.

Author Notes
I always think thoughts like these whenever I see a winter sunset. Thanks to 2597046 from Pixabay
