A Birthday Poem by Mary Vigasin

Once bitten, the poetry bug is contagious,

Bad Poetry is outrageous.

I know a talented poet is preferred when my poetry is absurd.

However, I want to give praise and celebrate

A poet who never forgets a Birthday Date.

Since I am the 18th and she is the 19th, it is hard to forget

The birthday of Debi Pick Marquette.

Debi's talent truly shines better than any line of mine.

And to repeat my own Birthday line:

"Roses are red, Violets are Blue,

I heard a cow moo a Happy Birthday to you!
