I remember running free
Playing among the tall pine trees
Riding my bike down the street
Swimming to try and beat the heat
Riding my four wheeler through the mud
Right along side me was my best bud
Staying out 'til it was dark
Walking the nature trail in the park
Making prank calls with my beau
Wondering how far to go
In summer I got my first real kiss
His aim was true, he didn't miss
Playing board games with my friends
Wishing summer would never end
It was over when you got school supplies
Summer's over, but don't you cry
We'll still find time to laugh and play
At the end of every day
