It traveled the white plains of an upside-down world. Giant creatures walked the sky, massive as mountains. Lowering itself to the horizon, its tether swayed on air currents. With improbable speed a monster-mountain grabbed for the traveler, snapping its tether. Landing hard, it dashed for the safety of concealing darkness.
