Excellent Dancing for life Matthew and Anna by jmdg1954

I posted “Certificate to Dance” earlier this week. A couple of reviewers asked that I continue the story…    Matthew and Anna stood solemnly at the gravesite as fall leaves swirled  in the cool breeze.   “I can’t believe it’s been a year already,”Matthew said.   Anna squeezed his hand into hers. “It seems like yesterday she…” Anna stopped as her eyes glistened. “She introduced us with that dance certificate,” Matthew said finishing her sentence. “I love you, Anna. I want us to be together, always.” “The head stone is beautiful,” Anna said as she held Matthews hand. “We’d better go. Mama is expecting us for Sunday dinner." ************************* “Will you marry me, Anna?” Anna looks into his eyes and the tenderness of his smile. Her hands folded into his. I must answer him. My heart beats faster. I gasp for words. He is my whole world, and I am his.  He lifts his hand and brushes a stray hair from her cheek before leaning in with a quick kiss. Matthew asks again… “Anna, will you marry me?” “Yes, of course I will.” Married for 44 years, he may ask me again tomorrow. Recognized
