Is death the end or the renewal of life? It'd be nice to know for sure before I close my eyes this last time, yet ... if the answer I receive runs contrary to my faith, would I be doubtful as the Apostle Thomas? No, as I was taught in my youth, faith is not a perfect knowledge but includes a hope for things not seen, which I know is true. And if I never awake again, what would I lose? Writing Prompt Write a story of 80 words. not including the title. Any subject accepted. Must be exactly 80 words. Author Notes The photo may depict the hope of light that comes after passing, or the closing of the portal passed through after mortality. I lose nothing in believing what I do, but often wonder how I would feel about life if I didn't believe the words of my fathers.
