Though she led a widow's life
Always she remained his wife
In the big old house she'd stay
All the children gone away
She would visit him sometimes
Flowers she would leave behind
There she kept her private tears
By the grave where no one hears
Seldom would you see her cry
For she knew he did not die
He had gone unto his rest
So for him she did her best
While alone she would remain
Solitary on this plane
She knew that they would reunite
One day in the afterlife
