Awesome Alliteration Contest contest entry

Alas, angst against New Year’s Day,
This torturous time when I must
Comment and commit PC to paper
Resulting in “Resolutions” to trust.

Oh, ‘tis not me, but my woeful wife
Whose diatribes demand my deed:
I must list my lazy, lackard ways to fix,
As opportunities open, with speed!

Imperfection I am, I always admit,
But, is her redundant raving fair?
To make her faithful man morose
Seems so snide. Is a there there?

Au contraire claim I, her indictment
In packed personifications a-plenty!
Actual accounts of manly misdeeds?
I am incalculably innocent of any!

Only due costs of lengthy litigation
Do I demurely defer to her noise,
But having etched the epistle, it's
“Bye, dear”, for beer with the boys!

Author Notes
I do not share secrets from my life with wife; there are no secrets to share:
It is exactly the same story at every house: She is right, the man is to blame.
I am but a humble reporter of real life and the way we all live it.
Neither demographic group nor socio-eco sector, hey, it's all the same!
