Every year comes Thanksgiving fest,
To celebrate planting and a rich harvest
We prepare turkey and trimmings,
Plates of food full to the brimming
Gravy, seasoning, and salad dressing
Joyful songs of blessing
Fruitful fields of farmers' labor
Shared with family, friend and neighbor
Squash, cranberry sauce, tomatoes, corn
Overflowing a plenteous horn
Blueberry, apple, pecan, and pumpkin pies
Sweet rolls and cakes of various size
All around the table adorn,
Give thanks to Mother Earth this shining morn
