Enshrouding mists begin to crawl
along the paths and through the street.
A silent, mesmerizing world
in shades of old, decayed concrete.

Damp, tendril fingers grasp at me
with chilly drafts and curling spin.
Small droplets form upon my coat,
as shivers shudder 'neath my skin.

And, as I walk this road alone
enrobed in fog's sheer gown of gray,
my isolation feels complete
entombed within the twilight spray.
