I ask you to go bowling You laugh, and shake your head You ask me to go fishing And I go back to bed Your whiny music bothers me Old Country's not my thing I'd rather hear my Rock n Roll Good music with some swing I love to watch romance or faith "In Love" or "A believer" But when you turn the TV on It's "Classic Tractor Fever We don't have much in common We've known for fifty years Yet have such treasured moments That brought us both to tears! Our Three Beautiful Children That came from you & me The home we made together Grandkids, friends, family I Love all of our traveling Communication the whole way Whether we are home or gone God guides our path and days I Pray our days together Will always be so Blessed And that we always treasure This one and all the rest You brighten my life with your smile You're a Blessing from up above I'm Thankful, Proud and Happy God gave me you to Love!   Writing Prompt Write a poem about something or someone you love. Love Contest Winner Recognized Author Notes My reason for writing this poem, was to show my husband Glen, that I'm thankful that our differences don't affect the love we have for one another. We know what brought us together in the first place, and what our common interests are. And with God's help, we embrace them daily and thank Him for all of His Blessings along the way!
