There is a special place
That kids just love to go
Anytime of the year
In the sun or in the snow
There are so many games
And lots of treasure hunts
If your mom and dad don't mind
You can stay a couple months
And in the Summer time
You can play a water sport
Like hooking up the sprinkler
To rain inside your fort
There's science experiments
With volcanoes made of pop
And if you need a break
Games on iPad or laptop
Every kind of junk food
You don't get this stuff at home
Candy bars, chips and soda
Lollipops and ice cream cone
If you do something naughty
Chase your sister with a mouse?!?
No one there will ever tell
Cause you're at your grandma's house!!

Author Notes
My 6 grandchildren were my inspiration for this poem, as we found new & exciting things to do every time they were here.
A grandma's place is meant to be extra fun with lots of junk food.
Then send them home, to their parents; all caffeine & sugared up, I have a plaque on my wall that is decorated to look like Vegas. But it reads, "What happens at grandma's, stays at grandma's!" It was a gift from 2 of my grandkids. We totally earned all these rights! That's in the rule book of grand parenting!! Well I'm sure it's written somewhere!!
Actually I wrote this to be a fun read for children. As much as it's true, us grandmas all know that there are some rules & restrictions given by our children, that we should follow & respect!
