My last words as they pass by
are engraved in a song
from an old book the
Life, Sayings, and Words of Jesus.

The book is coming apart from age.

Yet, they are part of my heart,
for
“My soul feels heavenly bound.”
As I hear, the angels sing,
“coming for to carry me home.”

The day draws near when I’ll not be here.
I’ll be the vision,
touching your soul.

My words will not fade away,
my sayings will be in your heart.
So, don’t miss me.

I’ll be the muse that’s
whispering in your ear,
the one that caresses your hair,
leaving kisses of lovely thoughts.

As I bid you all farewell,
know that heaven is where I’m bound.
If God permits
my spirit will smile.
