Note:
To 'hit the spot' is an English idiom meaning to be exactly right, to succeed in providing satisfaction. I am also referencing the giraffe's eye-catching spotted coat.
Giraffes have fascinated me for a long time. I was recently able to feed one at a zoo. They have blue tongues! The colouring provides built in sunscreen, keeping their tongues from getting burnt in the hot African sun when they browse on leaves and buds from treetops.
