How silly it was of me
To conveniently forget
The sharpness of his teeth
Of this my little pet.
Puppy's name is Archer
Born under the 'star sign'
A Curley Coated Retriever
And now he is all mine.
The cutest little face
Will grow into his nose
The biggest personality
Which already shows.
A precocious little pup
With so much energy
Confident and fearless
And naughty by decree.
A constant source of pleasure
Sometimes frustration too
But in the end puppy love
Envelopes all of you.
