She's been a friend for many years,
we've shared our stories, loves and fears,
She is a faithful fan and friend,
though we're not young, our lives still blend.
She writes her scripts with great intrigue,
and shares her works with us in league.
I love her tales of Lincoln's days,
his life, his times, his quirky ways.
But yet her birthday has just gone,
and through her life she's really shone.
She once performed in playhouse scripts,
on radio she shared her gifts.
So wish her well and join with me,
and bless her heart so she can see,
that love and grace can stretch beyond
these three great cheers, let's respond...
