Poor little girl Life in turmoil No-one to see her tears No-one to calm her fears.   She died alone …. None can condone The evil choices made By sin personified.   What kind of man must kill Has he no strength of will? Anger? Hatred? Power trip? Drugs held him in their grip?   Dead at nine years old … Who could have foretold? May she now be at peace And all her heartache cease.        Recognized Author Notes The body of a nine-year-old girl was found after a five day search. She had been murdered, and her body in a barrel was found near a river. Heartbreaking story, and I just wrote a small poem to honour her memory. Poor child - so heartbreaking to think of her terrible fear as she died alone. The alleged perpetrator has been arrested.
