You took way too many drinks and paid the cost.
Because of you, an innocent life was lost.
On the day it happened, you made a wrong choice.
You decided not to listen to that "voice."
What was the girl thinking when you caused a crash,
And her wonderful life was gone in a flash.
The child you killed was too young to pass away.
She was going to a party that day.
You hit her car full speed, she died at the scene,
And she won't get to be a homecoming queen.
There's many things she wanted to do and say.
She looked forward to being a mom one day.
I hope the choice you made is one you'll regret
So her parents will choose to forgive, forget.
Remember, they did not get to say good-bye.
They are shaking their heads and wondering why.
