Storm season whips up ocean
Mighty Waves by Aussie
Acrostic Poetry Contest contest entry

Mighty waves thump the shore
In unison rising from the core
Great maws open to catch men
Heavy swells push fish to den
Terrifying roar, mad ocean sighing
Yesterday calm, just like dying

Westerly winds whipping whitecaps
Another reason to stay away, perhaps
Very many men; surfers, stupid chaps
Every day some hurt when ocean taps
Super waves control the sea, not for laps

Author Notes
Double Acrostic entry for Acrostic Poem. We are being told to stay away from the ocean. It is peeling back the foreshore. Thirty beaches are closed. The winds are moving away towards Cape York.
