The Most Beautiful Girl... by Tom Horonzy
Love Poem Poetry Contest contest entry

Beauty, we're told, is in the eyes of the beholder.
Some men like their girls tall, with blue hair.
Others like ample bosoms and long legs.
I have no objections to either; however,
the love of my life is most beautiful to me
for not complaining, no matter how stupid I be,
allowing me to speak my mind even if wrong.

Her ability to forgive has no end, for she easily forgets,
which constantly lifts me up and never puts me down.
Her devotion to me is as great as her fealty to God,
reflecting the selflessness of His son, Jesus Christ,
which she shares with all God's creatures, including me.

When she smiles, which is always, I take it personally
for they radiate composure, humility, and elegance
that this man relishes when swinging on his arm
as they add an assuredness to my self-worth.

Her radiance is like a Breck girl reflecting a moral poise
knowing right is might, and wrong is for the weak of heart;
which she is not, for she tries to be all she can for me,
and as much, if not more, for her Lord, and that's why
she is the most beautiful girl in the world 2me.

Author Notes
Lucky in love would be finding a woman easy to forgive, easier to forget and easiest to please. Fortunately, she came to me when she said those words, "I do."

Breck girls were models for a shampoo, long ago, with lustrous hair.

This re-release has been edited from the original form. A revived edition.
Being in love with "the most beautiful girl in the world ... for me, never ends.
