Kellie Learns Her Colors by Tina Crute
Artwork by simonka at FanArtReview.com

When my daughter, Kellie, was only two years old,
she asked me all the colors of things that she would hold.

Kellie learned her colors, but Nana needed proof.
She asked her many colors of objects in the room.

Kellie pointed to her teeth and said, "My teeth are white."
Nana said, "I'm proud of you because you got that right."

Kellie climbed up on the lap that Nana offered free.
And said, "Nana, show your teeth. I really need to see."

She opened wide, Kellie looked, declared a big "Oh, no!"
Nana you do not have white. Your teeth are so yellow!
