I met you at the park one springtime day,
so captivated by you from the start.
The flowers did their best, but even they,
could not outdo the sweetness you impart.
A gentle rain fell, but its cooling touch,
could not relieve the fire you ignite.
Endearing words you utter mean so much,
that when I'm with you all the world seems right.
The shining sun above so warm and bright,
could not outdo the dazzle of your smile.
The moon above that glowed that very night,
could never match your beauty or your style.
Now once again springtime has come around,
its been a year since fate led you to me.
The feelings you inspire still astound,
there's nowhere else on earth I'd rather be.
I can't remember my life before you,
or what I did, it all just fades away.
Want you to know that what I say is true,
my life began when I met you that day.
