Never ...
If there never was a need,
then there'd never be a seed.
If there never was a plan,
could we find a bridge to span?
If you couldn't be a child,
we would always stand defiled,
all our goodness is self-styled.
If grace hadn't been a gift,
there would be an endless rift.
If the Christ had never come
we would owe a countless sum.
Sin would dig a hellish hole,
t'would bury deep our lost soul.
Jesus paid our ransom's toll.
