A lone canoe was gliding by
from it sailed out a song of sigh
homing gulls whistled in reply
The girl was sitting on the rocky wall
her heart woke up to his unearthly call
his haunting strains had her in a thrall
helpless and driven she held out her hands
a soft breeze cradled her at his command
and then they sailed to a fantasy land
