Yes, I'll remember, I'll recall,
to never "up those stairs to fall"
For time must sing its sad refrain,
in winter's cold or summer rain.
Yet Bob has left a writer's mark,
though sometimes joyful, sometimes stark.
You lost your boy when he was young,
how sad the heart when grief's song's sung.
Such Mastery your pen displayed,
as art your work in ink arrayed.
We'll not forget this kindly man,
his words remain beyond time's span.
Perhaps we'll meet on distant shores,
beneath God's light, where worship soars.
But I know this, I'll not forget --
when I spy stairs where time won't set.
Till we meet again...

Author Notes
This is a tribute to one of fanstorys finest writers, an wonderful writer, Bob Hartson, "Mastery" his fanstory pen name. But not only that, he was a gentleman of the highest order.
My favourite story of his, an autobiography of his early life as a foster child (Falling up the stairs) will remain with me all my life. This fine example of first class writing will remain as one of the best works I have ever read. He also wrote PI stories of Cleve Hawkins, all brilliant works. They can be purchased on Amazon.
Perhaps we will meet again in the coffee houses of writers, poets, and artists of renown gather. RIP Bob.
Thanks for reading. Roy Owen,
