My childhood farm
Farm on that show
Show about Dystopia
Dystopia I don't know

Know of what had come
Come whatever may
May, the time of flowers
Flowers never stay

Stay with me, memories
Memories begin to fade
Fade like my childhood home
Home, where memories stayed

Author Notes
I spent a week making a list of when I felt nostalgia, an activity inspired by a poem a read here. A song shared with boyfriends of the past, looking through my closet, graduation season. However, when I was watching tv, I could smell the farm so clearly. I could hear my mother talking to the animals and remember how I rolled my eyes as a teenager because she had to stop and say hi to every horse at the county fair. The good ol days. The memory transported me in time through every sense, a feeling so transcendent I had to write a poem!
