Real Pain
Concussion Confusion by Wils

A smack to the head out of my line of sight
To the right ear, he gave all his might

Hour after hour the headache increases
Skull coming apart, tearing in pieces

Medication does little to ease the pain
Dizzy forgetfulness seems to remain

Rest and relax is all that I’m told
All good in theory, my days are controlled

Some day I’ll walk out of this hazy mind-fog
The plug will release, my brain will unclog

I will see the world all clear again
But concussion scars I'll always contain

Author Notes
For many people with disabilities the only way to vent frustration is to hit out, and connect with whatever is in their way.
