Excellent Prisoner Prose In Kneed of Freedom by Wils The Prisoner writing prompt entry

The feeling of freedom is fantastic. I have been like a caged bird, desperate for any movement. Cocooned into darkness I have been counting down to this day. I feel the sound of the key at my lock, the whirring, grinding noise that I have longed for. Very soon I shall feel exalted as I break from this prison. My door springs open as the plaster cast, that has kept me entombed, divides, and drops to the floor. My rescuer blows dust from his tool and I flex myself with excitement. Finally, I am a leg with life.   Writing Prompt In 100 words, or less, write a short story--not necessarily a flash-fiction, though it could be--on the theme/subject/topic of 'prisoner'. It could be literal or metaphoric.
