With the dawn of springtime one's heart begins to sing
The human soul ascends as does the crocus and daffodil
Mere words cannot express the pleasantness of spring
A long-awaited season leaving behind winter's cool chill
Spirits become lifted with every picturesque blossom
One observes each bud while listening to the birds sing
Like the vibrant forsythia which is fathomed awesome
Or the purple rhododendron blooming in late Spring
Greeting each morning at the inception of this new time
Sensing how one tiny seed turns into a cluster of blooms
Beauty is observed as the breeze whirls the wind chime
Minuscule seeds flourish in spring; until summer resumes
