The Irish love to celebrate
with big parades St. Patrick's Day.
There's lots of bands, bold leprechauns,
and lavish floats that wend their way.
The Irish love to celebrate
that day by laughing, having fun.
They'll sing sad songs or dance a jig,
drink beer, get drunk before day's done.
The Irish love to celebrate
that holiday by wearing green.
He or she who wears this hue
has Gaelic roots, loves to be seen.
The Irish love to celebrate
their heritage in March each year.
And most of us are glad to share
their wealth of humor and good cheer.
