Peaceful, sleeping Valentine in the glow of some late show. Tried to stay awake for me, I sneak in with tippy toes. On the kitchen table a cake made lovingly. His work of art in candy hearts,  iced exquisitely. A tissue paper bouquet, in fragrant blooms of red.
