Ever have the weather change when out without a coat?
Unprepared

I started out without a care
The sky so blue
An azure hue
But clouds replaced the sky so fair
Wind came along
Blew cold and strong
Spouse said to take a coat, take heed
I brushed that off
A manly scoff
Why should I take what I don't need
The weathers fine
I'll make good time
The weather change was harsh and swift
My strength was gone
As I pushed on
The weather oft can quickly shift
It had not spared
One unprepared

Author Notes
All the long lines have 8 syllables while the short lines have four syllables each. I could not find where this fit any set style of poetry. It just seemed to flow into what I was writing.
