An Earth in Peril by DragonSkulls

We feared the worst. I only imagined that this overwhelming reality could ever actually come to fruition, yet it had. There was no escaping. It was inevitable. All humanity could do was hope and pray the whole world wouldn't be consumed within the grasp of its horrors. For years I've been doing research, traveling all over the globe, seeking answers. Nearly every time, my evidence concluded what I had feared. We were headed for disaster. The very few that would survive would be those who had no recollection, no insight of the devastation that would so brutally ravish the entire world. The unknowing might outlive this desolation. But clearly, those of us who knew, would not. I conversed with scientists, realists, even creationists and none had answers for what I sought. Each one wholeheartedly agreed, we were in serious trouble. Many held back tears as I left. Some actually fell to their knees and wept. Finally, I made my plea to the President of the United States to avoid this forthcoming downfall of mankind. For hours we read until we both simply gave up hope. He broadcasted this statement live. "After extensive research by Homeland Security and the director of Environmental Protection Agency, I have gotten with the leaders of all the world's nations and with their support, I'm now signing an executive order. Henceforth, every writing site on the planet will be terminated. This, in turn, will prevent all of humanity from suffering the cataclysmic effects of Global Boring."
