I wander through the pathways of my heart
collecting love's bent fragments as I go.
Reclaiming my affections from the start,
true caring that was given long ago.
I pluck old love songs from the radio,
the ones that touched my heart ~ moved me to tears.
Sweet, tender melodies shared with my beau,
dim, faded recollections from my years.
I turn to you as gray mist disappears,
I'm cleansed and purified within my soul.
Untarnished, pure emotion reappears...
no longer will my past take such a toll.
From tender, quiet depths reclaimed by me,
I offer you a love unbound and free.
