I have an idea
A poem, a story
My brain cells are buzzing
With Fanstorical glory
The letters are tumbling
Words, they are swarming
I know where I’m going
The picture is forming
Sit at the computer
Things clear in my head
Set out to type
Then, the idea is dead
The image has faded
Words are no more
They made a swift exit
Through the disappearing door
The door in your mind
Where non-ideas go
Dried up and rejected
Unable to flow
Back to the drawing board
Another tale incomplete
A writer’s lifestyle
Is that of repeat
