The face of a clown,
my mask of feelings,
from smiling to frown
there is no ending,
round, round, and around,
my senses reeling.
My face as it rains,
life's melancholy.
Those mem'ries of pain,
remembered follies.
Those tears shed in vain,
life in fantasy.
Yet, when my face shows
a smile of delight,
with pleasure, it glows
the warmth of the light.
In that smile, I know...
my feelings are right.

Author Notes
With the world as it is, I find that smiles and sadness stir my soul. I imagine most of you are sailing in the same boat. Sooo, I'm trying to bring you a smile and show you that you are not alone. As poets, we will bring a little sunshine into our world. :)
