...
She never boasts nor touts her worth,
yet she's the seasoning salt of Earth.
I'm just her dad, but I'm so glad,
it breaks my heart to see her sad.
I can't protect her, she's full grown,
but I'll be there in prayers alone,
Though feeling helpless; this I say,
God watches you both night and day.
I cannot promise I'll be there
you need strong arms for love and care,
But under shadow's wings you'll be
and in God's presence you'll be free
Remember child, God always cares,
He's always there to hear your prayers.
He'll never baulk and never sleeps.
but in His heart He'll ever keep.
We've always loved you from your birth,
compassion is your height and girth.
When you were just a little girl,
with God's own kindness you'd unfurl.
In kindergarten you would play,
with children none gave time of day,
You loved those special little lambs,
revealed God's love that His care spans.

Author Notes
* Rebecca s family, hubby Nick, and three sons
This poem is for my daughter, who is looking after her father in law, he's not well, and needs constant care, he has a nurse calling very day, she looks after him, although a mum with three strapping boys, we can't help her, she lives in Brisbane 2000 kms away, Nick her husband is 12 hours a day job, and she does relief teaching 2 days a week, Her eldest sister-in-law is harassing her to put him in a home, but Bec thinks he would be dishonoured by that, but she's upset, and is a little down
In kindergarten, and through her life, she would play with the kid no one else would, she has always been tender-hearted like her mum.
Exodus 20:12 "Honour thy father and mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee."
Thanks for reading. Roy Owen.
