As the years went by and I watched her grow,
all the love and pride I felt knew no bounds.
So grateful I am, I hope that she knows,
she is the reason the world spins around.
Now in the twilight of my waning years,
gentle her hands, as her time she gives so free.
Where once as a child I dried all her tears,
it's her, now of late who does that for me.
If she were not here I fear I'd be lost,
all the delight in my world, she creates.
I'd sail through life on a ship tempest tossed,
thankful I am, that her love won't abate.
She is the reason that I am still here,
I hold dear the moments I have her near.
