How Mother Found Jesus
Mom's Story by Deniz22

I would like everyone to hear my mother's conversion story. I always tell everyone, I DROVE my poor mother to the Lord and she led me to Him. I got in some trouble with the police and she blamed herself.

She felt God spoke to her and said, " You've left Me out of your life and that of your family."
She then made a vow to read the Bible through and began to fulfil it every morning after Dad went to work and my brother and I were at school.

She read and prayed her way through the Old Testament (KJV) and then one morning, as she was reading John, she suddenly realized JESUS was the God of the Old Testament she had been reading about!

"It was as if the whole kitchen lit up, and right there, I gave myself, my family and everything I had to Him!"

I can still see the joy shining on her face as she talked about Christ saving her.

She began to pray for us, and one by one we came, drawn by a love we saw through her, which was mingled with her own, but was not her own.

Grandchildren may not know this: a big part of them coming to Christ was the sweet awakening by the Holy Spirit of their Grandmother's seeking heart in her humble kitchen. The anointing she experienced from God that day is still working it's life-giving wonder in and on her family.

Pastor Hansen said at her funeral many years later, "I never knew any of her prayers not to be answered."

Thanks for giving me the chance to tell her story! I pray her faith and example will be an encouragement to all who read it.

A mother who calls on God to save her family will be heard at the Throne of Glory and the mighty God of the universe will honor her faith, every time.

Proverbs 31 seems so appropriate here to honor Mom and all the other Godly women who show everyone the good things of God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Chapter 31 of Proverbs The Virtuous Wife

10 Who can find a virtuous wife?
For her worth is far above rubies.
11 The heart of her husband safely trusts her;
So he will have no lack of gain.
12 She does him good and not evil
All the days of her life.

13 She seeks wool and flax,
And willingly works with her hands.
14 She is like the merchant ships,
She brings her food from afar.

15 She also rises while it is yet night,
And provides food for her household,
And a portion for her maidservants.

16 She considers a field and buys it;
From her profits she plants a vineyard.
17 She girds herself with strength,
And strengthens her arms.

18 She perceives that her merchandise is good,
And her lamp does not go out by night.
19 She stretches out her hands to the distaff,
And her hand holds the spindle.

20 She extends her hand to the poor,
Yes, she reaches out her hands to the needy.
21 She is not afraid of snow for her household,
For all her household is clothed with scarlet.
22 She makes tapestry for herself;
Her clothing is fine linen and purple.

23 Her husband is known in the gates,
When he sits among the elders of the land.
24 She makes linen garments and sells them,
And supplies sashes for the merchants.

25 Strength and honor are her clothing;
She shall rejoice in time to come.
26 She opens her mouth with wisdom,
And on her tongue is the law of kindness.

27 She watches over the ways of her household,
And does not eat the bread of idleness.

28 Her children rise up and call her blessed;
Her husband also, and he praises her:
29 "Many daughters have done well,
But you excel them all."

30 Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing,
But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.
31 Give her of the fruit of her hands,
And let her own works praise her in the gates.

Author Notes
The arms of the Savior are still wide open to who ever will simply ask Him to save them. Everything begins for a Christian with this simple step. You may be full of a mixture of doubt, even fear and yet a desire to know and experience this wonderful love of Jesus. Go ahead and call in spite of doubts or whatever. Christ will honor the weakest faith expressed in simply calling! There is no one as wonderful as Jesus! Please don't miss the experience of His great and powerful love!
Romans 10:8-13
8 But what does it say? The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart (that is, the word of faith which we preach): 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame. 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. 13 For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
